Oh our Addi girl. You have grown so so much this last month. You make us smile every day, you are so close to being on the move, and your eyes light up anytime mom or dad walk into the room. We can’t imagine our lives without you!
Side note: our monthly pictures are becoming more and more difficult to capture 😉
GROWTH
Addison weighs 16 lbs 5 oz (according to our scale at home), and her thighs are getting chunkier by the minute 🙂 We had her 6 month well baby check this past month, and she is also moving up on the percentile charts as well, we’re now in the 25th perentile for weight and the 55th percentile for height.
EAT
Addison still eats 5-6 oz in a sitting, and we are still using donor milk. I only produce enough for 2 feedings a day, so we are so thankful for our generous donor! We are incorporating more real food, and Addison has loved everything so far! We’ve tried green beans, potatoes, some meat (ham and steak), bread, grilled cheese, pudding and cake 😉 to name a few! We have a little bit of a gag reflux, and she has choked a few times but I think it’s more of a texture thing. I am so happy that we decided to take the baby led weaning route, verses traditional baby food and purees!
CLOTHES
Our closet now consists of all 6 and 6-9 month clothes. I get so sad to put away some of our favorite outfits! However, we have a TON of adorable summer outfits (thanks to my Bailey’s Blossoms addiction), and we’re so excited to get to spend more time outside! We’ve also started wearing “real clothes” everyday. PJ’s were our go to for daycare, but since she is so close to being on the move, real clothes are little easier to crawl & scoot in.
PLAY & DEVELOPMENT
We have a scooter! She doesn’t go too far, but when we sit her up on the living room she can scoot around to get her toys. She also is interested in crawling, and I think she might start army crawling in the next week or so (just not quite strong enough yet to hold herself up with her arms. We love spitting, gurgling, and squealing! She has also started saying “mom” (I’ve heard it 5 times), although my husband doesn’t believe me ;). She’s very curious, responsive
“FIRSTS”
- First ride in the excavator with Daddy
- First time going to the Tulip Festival
- First time playing outside (we finally have nice enough weather!) I can definitely tell we are going to spend a lot of time outside this summer!
