I decided to format this post a little differently because little Miss Addison made her appearance exactly one week early.  I have to say this was my favorite week of pregnancy by far ;).

The week was pretty uneventful, and we had been going about our daily activities like normal.  The elevator was busy, A.J. was busy in the field, and we were patiently  impatiently waiting her arrival.  On Wednesday evening, I left work a couple of hours early because I was worn out from an already long week, but didn’t really go in to labor until almost 5:00 AM the next morning.  Addi didn’t waste anytime in making her arrival, and at 1:04 PM on Thursday she was here!

Overall, I was so blessed during this pregnancy.  As my midwife told me, I had a “boring” pregnancy.  I gained 23 pounds, we measured exactly where we were supposed to be all throughout the pregnancy, we passed our glucose test with flying colors, my blood pressure was completely normal, and I didn’t have any swelling.  I can honestly say my biggest problem was heartburn, which was totally manageable with a few bottles of Tums.  As I look back at my pictures since I started this pregnancy, it truly amazes me how God created women to grow a child.  Such a miracle.

I mentioned to A.J. a couple of days before she was born that I was truly going to miss being pregnant.  Even though I was starting to get uncomfortable and sleep was hard to come by, I knew that as long as she was on the inside I could keep her close and protect her.  Now that she is here, I am so enjoying my time soaking up as many newborn snuggles as possible before I blink and she is grown up and doesn’t need her mom as much anymore.

Little girl, I can’t wait to watch you grow just as we have watched you grow the last 9 months!
