I don’t know what it is, but all of a sudden it feels like time jumped and we have a whole new baby! Entering into 5 months is a whole new stage, and while I’m missing my tiny baby, I’m loving the coos, giggles and smiles from this little angel!
GROWTH
We’ve kind of plateaued on our weight, and are sitting strong at 14 lbs 10 oz. So we’ve gained less than a pound this month, but you would would never know it! This little girly is full of the cutest rolls 🥰
EATING
5 months in and still going strong with breastfeeding! I’m so happy (and surprised) at how long we’ve made it, considering I only breastfeed Addison for 4 months before we started supplementing with donor milk. I had my first and hopefully only bout with mastitis, but it didn’t slow us down and I’m still able to add about 300 ounces a month to the freezer.
CLOTHES
We’re still pretty comfy in our 3-6 month clothes, some 3 month clothes and some 6 month clothes. I stocked up on a few essentials from Old Navy this month, and snagged outfits for our 6 month pictures from Baileys Blossoms (our favorite online boutique!).
PLAY & DEVELOPMENT
Alivia is doing all the big girl things! We’ve rolled from tummy to back once, but decided that’s for the birds and staying put is more fun. We love to sit up and look around, but standing is out of the question. This past month, we just started using the activity seat and we love to play with all the little gadgets. We’re getting stronger and stronger with sitting up and I’m sure we’ll be sitting up unassisted in no time at all. I was really sure a tooth popped through (or my nipple was really sure haha), but I can’t feel it with my finger yet. But I won’t be surprised if we see some pearly whites in the next month or so!
